Eureka!! We Went Gold Panning

During our Washington trip (the previous post) we went gold panning in Oregon, at Quartzville Creek 15 miles south of a town called Sweet Home. Mr. M has been telling us of this place for over 6 years and we finally let him show us around, and here are a few photos from that part of the trip.
                                               This is the entrance Sign.

Here is Mr. M trying the first scoop of dirt.

Here is K trying the second scoop of sand.

Here I am trying the third scoop of sand.

Then we kept going back and forth between us three, the babies didn't feel like panning they just wanted to play in the water, and our parents didn't feel like it either.

Here are the babies having fun in the water.

Here is S (5) having fun

Here is S (3) standing in the water, questioning if he wants to go further.

Here is M wanting to be picked up.

This was the first time I have ever panned for gold other than at a theme park.

Matthew 6:19
"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.
